Apartment 211

During the 2020 pandemic, Jun Wang and Bonnie Wong found themselves separated between China and the UK, grappling with distance, time zone challenges, and disrupted plans. They were invited to participate in Témoin, a publication project by a group of artists in France, which inspired them to create a digital collage reflecting their experiences.

Drawing from their everyday conversations, they incorporated images, small worries, and quiet hopes into four intimate "rooms" of a small accordion book. Among the pages, they included one of the little comforts they shared during those months: a packet of crisps, symbolising their connection and support for each other despite the distance.

Digitally printed, 4-page accordion book, edition of 50.
