The Amazing Non-fictional World
Exhibited in The Odious Smell of Truth, Hockney Gallery in London and Network, MOVEMENT Gallery in Worcester. Both exhibitions were organised by RAGE Collective.
This series of works comments on the ridiculousness of public speeches we find in media. Using comic strips, one of the most humorous and imaginative forms of visual expression, the work shows ‘stories’ that have happened in the real world. The first comic strip is about comments Donald Trump made during his presidential campaign which targeted women specifically. The second comic strip is about the pro-police rally which took place in Hong Kong when seven policemen were sent to jail after being caught beating a protester up during the pro-democratic movement.
